I would never wish bad things, but I don’t wish you well
You missed so much. You missed birthdays and graduations, Christmases and Easters, Thanksgivings and awards ceremonies. You missed your sister become a vice president at one of the top insurance companies of the world. I hope today, on your birthday, you thought about the woman who gave you life and whose heart you broke beyond repair. I wish you could see the pain in your mother’s eyes every time someone mentions you. I hope you thought of me and realized you missed the chance to see your niece grow up. It’s been twelve years, why does it still hurt so much? One day maybe I’ll be able to think about you without dying a little on the inside.
